The Dairy

Monte da Vinha Diary’s appeared in 2004, as an artisan unit of a cured cheese, in sequence of ewe’s milk production and sheep raising.
Its mission it’s to join the old knowledge and traditional flavour of the ancient cheese to the most modern rules and procedures of hygiene, control and food safety.


The Milk

In activity since 1999 and with a flock of about 500 sheep’s, it was possible to produce our own milk and to control their feeding, assured by pastures and fodder plants, essentials to the milk quality and to an exceptional quality cheese.
Due to an increasing demand and thereafter to a rising production, Monte da Vinha, now appeals to other ewe’s milk producers of the region, with the same quality guarantees.
